Each DDoS-Guard installation consists of several units; if any of the units stops working due to a hardware failure, the load is automatically distributed over the remaining ones.

At any time during operation, DDoS-Guard can be expanded by adding components, allowing it to be upgraded for higher bandwidths. The new components are integrated into the setup and take over the configuration automatically!

Redundant setup with load distribution

In an environment with a number of redundant and perhaps even separate uplinks, DDoS-Guard is simply divided up according to the individual capacity ratings. A virtual DDoS-Guard then allows configuration and takes care of overall functioning.
